EDA ELECTRONIC DESIGN ASSOCIATES

Electronic Design Associates is a contract engineering design group that develops new electronic products, circuits and their packaging for medical, industrial and security clients. Its work covers printed circuit board design, RF wireless links, sensor interfaces, embedded firmware and software, prototyping and testing, with support through manufacturing. Past projects include EEG and EMG monitors, vital signs monitors, aircraft alarm systems and HVAC monitoring equipment.

Clients are typically medical and industrial companies, from Fortune 500 firms to start-ups, that want an engineering team without the cost of a full in-house department. Designs are built to comply with standards such as FDA, IEC 60601, UL, CSA, RoHS and FCC Part 15. The firm offers a no-charge first step by phone or in person, and it signs confidentiality agreements to protect client intellectual property. Meetings are held in St. Petersburg and at a north Tampa location on McCormick Drive, where contract manufacturing is also based.
