Birdloft

Birdloft designs and builds custom furniture from reclaimed and live edge wood, paired with recycled steel bases. The featured pieces are mostly coffee tables, including cloud, boomerang and herringbone designs, and the shop also makes dining tables, bookshelves, side tables, desks and consoles, and benches for gardens. Each piece is made slowly in a small shop, using wood salvaged from urban sources and local trees.

Visits are by appointment, so call or email ahead to schedule one. The shop is at 2915 S 12th St in Tacoma, and the owners say they have been making pieces since 2010. Prices for featured tables run from about $895 to $3,400, and custom orders are taken.
