Spacebar

Spacebar is a one-person personal technology service run by Gabe Ng, who handles computer diagnosis, repair advice, new-computer setup and small-business IT. Gabe starts every job with a flat-fee diagnosis for PCs and Macs, tests the hardware and software, and explains whether repair or replacement makes more sense. Virus and adware cleanup, Windows reinstalls and data transfers to new computers are also offered, and home and small-business network, printer and backup help is billed by the hour.

Work is by appointment only, and texting Gabe is the fastest way to start. Spacebar is at 5687 Main Street in downtown Sylvania, Ohio. Gabe says nothing gets done beyond the diagnosis until the customer approves it, and that the person who answers a message is the one who follows the job through.
