Universal Door Meditation Center

Universal Door Meditation Center, also called the Wake Up Center, is a Buddhist meditation center founded in 2003 by Awakened Zen Master Thich Dieu Thien. It is known for weekly sessions and retreats that draw visitors from around the world, and for teachings built on the Five Awakened Natures and the Great Vow to help all beings wake up. The center also offers Dharma talks, sutra-based teachings, and youth and teen retreats.

Newcomers are encouraged to start with the Tuesday International Awake Session, and one-day retreats are held on selected Saturdays. Events are open to the public, and donations are welcome. The center sits on Dora Lane in Sugar Land, and it also runs an online session option for people who cannot attend in person.
