Barking Muse

Barking Muse is a dog daycare, boarding and grooming business that caters exclusively to small dogs, 25 pounds and under. Its enrichment-focused daycare aims to stimulate dogs through activities that engage their senses rather than open play, which the business says can lead to injuries and stress for many dogs. The grooming side offers baths, brushing, full cuts and styling, including pet-safe colors and nail polish.

Daycare drop-off starts at 7 AM on Fridays, and grooming can be combined with unlimited daycare play on the same day for an added fee. Monthly unlimited bath memberships are also offered. Overnight boarding is available, with pick-up and drop-off windows on weekends. The shop is on Highway 6 in Sugar Land.
