Route 1 Guitars

Route 1 Guitars is a small guitar shop that sells guitars, basses, amps, pedals and accessories, and also runs one-on-one private lessons and school instrument rentals. The shop does setups for guitars, basses, banjos, mandolins, violins, violas and ukuleles, with a range of pricing based on instrument type. Strings are not included in setup prices.

Lessons are $30 for a half hour and are paid as you go, one lesson at a time. Scheduling is done by calling the shop. Customers enter through the back door, using the same parking lot as Milford Bank. The shop is located on Route 1 in Milford, Connecticut, and notes that hours can run late occasionally, so calling ahead is a good idea.
