The Friendly Fisherman Restaurant

The Friendly Fisherman is a waterfront seafood restaurant in John's Pass Village, serving fresh Gulf seafood and Florida favorites since 1978. The menu centers on local fish such as grouper, shrimp and scallops, prepared fried, blackened, grilled or broiled, along with shucked oysters, a homemade clam chowder and fresh-caught fish tacos. Captain Hubbard's Platter and the snow crab legs are among the signature plates.

Dinner service runs until 8 PM on Sunday through Thursday and 10 PM on Friday and Saturday, with the kitchen opening at 11 AM daily. Guests can bring in their own catch to have the chefs cook it, and the restaurant is part of Hubbard's Marina, which also runs fishing trips. Seating in the main dining room and the Dockside Lounge overlooks the Gulf, where dolphins are often visible, and tables can be reserved online. The restaurant is on John's Pass Boardwalk, steps from the boardwalk.
