EssereBlu

EssereBlu is a salon and spa in St. Louis known for color, cuts, custom extensions and the HeadSpa, a scalp treatment done in one of four dedicated beds. It also offers a FaceSpace, an interactive facial chair that the company says is the first of its kind in the U.S. The business was formerly named Blu A Color Salon and was built by two stylists, Charles and Nicole Gillick, starting in 2009.

The salon occupies about six thousand square feet on Watson Road and includes a caffé with a full-time barista, specialty coffee, and beer and wine. Appointments can be booked online or by phone, and the salon is open Tuesday through Saturday, with hours that end later on weekdays. Many visitors come in just to relax with a coffee after their service.
