The Crossing Outreach

The Crossing Outreach is a ministry in St. Joseph that works with people facing homelessness, hunger, poverty and re-entry after prison. Its programs include a Nutrition Center that distributes rescued and donated food at no cost, a Re-Entry Program for men leaving incarceration, addiction recovery or homelessness, and the Samaritan Store, a thrift store that provides clothing and hygiene items to people living outside shelters.

The Crossing accepts donations of goods at the Samaritan Store during posted store hours or by phone arrangement, and it relies on volunteers to run the Nutrition Center. Its campus is at 613 South 7th Street in St. Joseph, and the organization says it runs around the clock, with a 24-hour shelter model described on its site.
