One Family Hardwood

One Family Hardwood is a sawmill producing kiln dried and green hardwood lumber in ash, basswood, cherry, hackberry, hickory, soft maple, sycamore, red and white oak, and walnut. It also makes wood chips, firewood, blocking, dunnage, decking, industrial timbers and wheel chocks, and can saw products to a customer's specifications. Rift and quarter sawn lumber is available in sycamore and red and white oak.

The mill is mainly a bulk and commercial producer, but it also sells small retail orders on site, with a $50 minimum per species and grade. Only cash or check with ID is accepted. Call ahead to check availability. Hours are weekday daytime with a midday lunch break, and appointments can be arranged outside those hours with a few days' notice. The mill also buys standing timber and logs from loggers and landowners. It sits just south of Saint Joseph in northwest Missouri, about 50 miles north of Kansas City.
