IAM W24

IAM District W24 is part of the International Association of Machinists, a labor union with nearly 600,000 active and retired members across many industries. Its Local W246, also called the Woodworkers Local Lodge, has agreements with employers including IFA Nursery, several Weyerhaeuser operations, Santiam Lumber, Oregon Trucking and Sunrise Dental in Eugene. The union bargains for job security, wages and benefits on behalf of its members.

Local W246 meets in Springfield at its local office, and some members meet at the Sweet Home Senior Center. Workers who want help organizing their workplace can contact the district office in Gladstone. The site also lists veterans' services and healthcare resources. Office hours are not published, so calling ahead is the best way to reach someone.
