Shades of Cailyn

Shades of Cailyn is a hair studio offering haircuts, blowouts, root touch-ups, all-over color, highlights and balayage, along with a Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatment. Its menu also includes kids' cuts for ages 5 through 12, clipper fades and a lineup or beard trim. Most color services start with a short consultation, which is free, to talk through results, cost and timing before a major change.

Appointments are booked online through the studio's GlossGenius page. The studio is open Wednesday through Saturday, with later hours on Wednesday and Thursday and a shorter Saturday. To cancel or reschedule, give 48 hours notice by text or Instagram message. Cancellations within 48 hours are charged 50 percent of the service, and same-day cancellations or no-shows are charged in full. The salon is in the Miles Joseph Studios building at 225 Oakland Road in South Windsor.
