Sun and Surf

Sun and Surf is a family-run seafood restaurant on Long Sands Beach in York Beach, Maine, operating there since 1963. It is known for fried clams, lobster rolls, lobster bakes and Maine-made ice cream and frappes served from a takeout window during the busy summer months.

Seating is available on three outdoor patios and in a dining room that holds over 250 people together, weather permitting for the decks. Online ordering handles takeout, but phone orders are not taken and the full dine-in menu is not available to go. Reservations are taken only for parties of eight or more at lunch and dinner, and the restaurant offers breakfast on weekends. Groups and motor coach tours are welcome, and the restaurant also hosts rehearsal dinners, morning-after breakfasts and off-season weddings.
