56 Kitchen is a farm-to-table American restaurant that cooks from scratch daily, with house-made sauces and dressings and daily-baked breads. The menu runs from starters like hummus, calamari and wings to salads, stone-fire pizzas, burgers and entrees such as pan seared salmon and steak frites. Its best-known dish is the Pewter Mug salad, carried over from the original Cafe 56 concept.

The Solon restaurant sits on Aurora Road and has a rustic dining room with exposed beams and warm wood accents, suited to dinners and family gatherings. Takeout, pickup and delivery are available through the website, and reservations can be made online. A second location is in Mayfield Heights. Hours are 11 AM to 8 PM on Sundays, 11 AM to 9 PM Monday through Thursday, and until 10 PM on Friday and Saturday.
