Tompkins Lawn Care, Inc.

Tompkins Lawn Care, Inc. is a lawn care company that handles organic fertilization, weed control, tree pruning, pest control and landscaping. Its signature service is TLC Soil Renovation, which starts with deep core aeration and is followed by a lab-tested compost, built for longer-lasting results. The company says it uses herbicides only when needed and focuses on diagnosing what each lawn actually needs.

Tompkins serves the Iowa City and Cedar Rapids corridor and surrounding areas, and it keeps its landscaping project list small. Its pest control treats the perimeter of a home so fewer chemicals go inside. The company has been operating since 1996 and is based in Solon, Iowa.
