About Angelo's Picnic Pizza

The story

Angelo's Picnic Pizza makes old-world Italian pizza, calzones, stromboli and desserts, with everything made from scratch daily. Pizzas come with a hand-tossed crust or in Sicilian style, and the menu also includes garlic knots and antipasto salad. The family has run the business since 1976, when the Picnic Pizza name began in Nashville, and the Smyrna location opened in 1999 under founder Angelo LaMattina, whose sons now run it.

The shop serves Brooklyn-style pizza and does catering at reasonable prices. Orders can be placed online, and the kitchen stays open late on weekends, until midnight on Friday and Saturday. The shop is in Smyrna.
