About Llano Estacado

The story

Llano Estacado is a Texas winery founded in 1976 in Lubbock, known for award-winning Texas wines from bold reds to small-lot releases. The winery produces wine at its Lubbock facility and sources fruit from vineyard partners across West Texas, and its Chardonnay earned a Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco International Wine Competition in 1984.

The Lubbock winery and tasting room on FM 1585 offers guided production tours, barrel tastings and patio seating, and hosts private events. Wines are also sold through a wine club and gift cards. A tasting room in downtown Lubbock near Texas Tech opened recently, and a Fredericksburg location is planned for 2027.
