Novy Ranches Grass Fed Beef

Novy Ranches raises grass-fed beef on its own ranches, and the product line includes ground beef in 90/10 and 97/3 blends, short ribs, steaks, roasts, sausage and beef sticks, and bones and organs. The cattle are raised without commercial mixed feeds, growth hormones, feed additives or antibiotics, eating only non-GMO grass, grass pellets, hay and a salt and mineral mix. The ranches were started by Dr. Lowell Novy, a veterinarian who moved away from feedlot production toward a fully grass-fed program focused on land, animal welfare and people's health.

The flagship store is on East Los Angeles Avenue in Simi Valley, open Tuesday through Thursday at midday until 6 PM and Friday and Saturday from 10 AM until 6 PM. Products can also be ordered through the website, which offers shipping and member-only deals through its newsletter. The company notes that it can only guarantee products bought directly through its own site, since a copycat website has appeared.
