One Smart Dog

One Smart Dog is a dog training and behavior business run by certified trainer and behavior consultant Dawn Lowery. It works with dogs struggling with aggression, fear, anxiety, reactivity, resource guarding, loose leash walking, recall, jumping and puppy training, through private one-on-one coaching as well as group classes such as puppy class, basic manners and a real world class.

Training is reward-based and built on positive reinforcement, management and desensitization or counterconditioning. The business does not use choke chains, prong collars, shock collars or leash corrections. Private sessions and behavior consults are arranged through an inquiry form on the website, and inquiries are answered by email within two to three business days. Service areas listed include Shelton, Milford, Orange, Stratford, Trumbull, Fairfield, West Haven, Woodbridge, Bethany and New Haven, Connecticut.
