MBD, Inc

MBD, Inc (Machine Builders and Design) builds production equipment for the snack-food industry, especially cookie and snack cake lines. Its best-known machines are the Cookie Capper, an all-in-one system for depositing and sandwiching cookies, along with the Oven Depositor, Traypacker and Placepacker for packaging. The company also supplies conveyors and handles installation, commissioning, training, spare parts and maintenance for the equipment it sells.

MBD works with food manufacturers on turn-key projects and has built more than 500 machines now running in over 60 countries. Its sales and customer service staff are based in Shelby, on North Post Road, and the company also works through sales agents in other regions. Service is available around the clock, which matters for a plant line that cannot stop.
