Montessori school in Pittsburgh PA

Montessori Children's Community is a Montessori school for children ages 3 to 14 that has operated since 1991. Its programs run from a morning Children's House for the youngest students through an All Day program, Lower and Upper Elementary, and a Middle School program. The school builds on Dr. Maria Montessori's philosophy with hands-on learning, a low student-to-teacher ratio, and an emphasis on independence, confidence, and critical thinking.

School Head Terri Modic has led the school since it was founded, and the teaching staff includes Montessori-certified head teachers for each level. The school welcomes students of all backgrounds and asks families to contact the office about openings and to schedule a tour. It is open Monday through Friday during the school day and is located on Chadwick Street in Sewickley.
