Sun Newspapers

The Sun Newspapers is a local newspaper serving Seal Beach and several nearby communities, including Leisure World, Belmont Shores, Naples Island, Rossmoor, Los Alamitos, Huntington Harbour, Surfside and Sunset Beach. Its coverage spans local news, city government, crime, sports, opinion and community events, and it publishes print, digital and social media editions. The paper's roots go back to April 1967, when it launched as The Journal.

The paper is printed and distributed every Thursday to over 16,000 homes and 7,000 commercial businesses, with a weekly readership the paper puts at more than 51,000. Readers can submit letters to the editor, obituaries and public notices, and the paper runs a Fictitious Business Name (FBN) filing service. The office is at 1500 Pacific Coast Highway in Seal Beach, upstairs in Suite G.
