BUCKINGHAM ORIIENTAL RUGS

Buckingham Oriental Rugs cleans, repairs and appraises fine handmade rugs, including Persian, Turkish, Afghan, Chinese, Indian, Pakistani and silk pieces, as well as antique rugs. Rug dealers, importers and other carpet cleaners from around the country also send work to the shop.

Each rug is inspected first so the team can choose treatments for stains, odors and color problems before washing. Rugs are washed on both sides, soaked to remove dirt and odor, brushed and given a final inspection. Service is by appointment only, with pickup and delivery available and an emergency line for urgent calls. The business is in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and serves nearby towns such as Wilkes-Barre, Clarks Summit and Dunmore.
