The Scratch Spa

The Scratch Spa offers scratch therapy, a relaxation service built on gentle, repetitive sensory stimulation rather than deep muscle work. Sessions run 30, 60 or 90 minutes and are performed by licensed massage therapists using light scratching with nails, fingernail extenders, bristle brushes or feather fans. A two-hour Duo Deluxe pairs a Swedish massage with a 60-minute scratch session.

Clients can book online, buy digital or physical gift cards that work at any of the company's locations, or join a monthly membership with members-only rates. The Scottsdale location is inside a salon suite at Mountain View Plaza, and the business also has locations in Mesa, Peoria and Phoenix. Some clients come weekly for a reset, while others visit monthly. People with severe skin conditions or who are very ticklish may not enjoy it.
