Rice Companies

Rice Companies is a commercial construction firm that takes projects from design and preconstruction through building, facility repair, remodeling and re-roofing. Its in-house architecture team works alongside construction crews, and the company also handles real estate development and property management. Founded in 1953 as Rice Building Systems, the business has grown from a single family operation into a firm with seven locations across the Midwest.

More than 80 percent of its business comes from repeat clients. Labor is guaranteed with a limited lifetime warranty, and the team checks back a year after each project is finished. Headquarters is in Sauk Rapids, with other offices in Appleton, Wisconsin, Cedar Falls, Iowa, Fargo, Glencoe, Mankato and Sioux Falls. The offices are open on weekdays, and the team recommends calling ahead to make sure the right people are available.
