Troy's Tropics

Troy's Tropics is a locally owned nursery and landscape design studio on Proctor Road in Sarasota. The nursery grows much of its stock on 14 acres, with Florida-friendly plants, palms, shrubs, fruit trees, herbs and mulch, and it supplies wholesale plants to landscapers and contractors. Its design team handles projects from residential gardens to community properties, along with sod, irrigation, outdoor lighting and property maintenance.

The retail garden center is open to the public during posted hours, so walk-ins are welcome to browse and shop. Complimentary landscape design consultations are available, and the company offers deliveries and nursery installations. Its landscape design and lighting work covers Sarasota and the Gulf Coast, including Longboat Key, Osprey, Lakewood Ranch, Siesta Key and Venice. Gift cards are sold, and the family-run business has been in Sarasota for nearly four decades.
