Sarasota Car Sales is a used car lot on S Tamiami Trail selling cars, trucks and SUVs with in-house financing, often called buy here, pay here. The lot stocks everything from Fords and Chevrolets to Hondas and Toyotas, with vehicles sourced through local dealers, trade-ins and estate purchases. Buyers with past credit trouble are welcome, since the dealership is its own lender and does not pull credit.

Payments are made in simple bi-weekly amounts, and shoppers can set a budget and down payment before choosing a vehicle. To get approved, buyers bring a driver's license, proof of insurance and a down payment, and signing the contract serves as the credit check. Trade-ins can be applied toward the down payment, even if the car isn't running. Financed vehicles carry a free 90-day, 3,000-mile limited warranty covering the engine, transmission and air conditioning. The lot is closed on Sundays.
