Channel Islands Adventure Company

Channel Islands Adventure Company runs guided sea cave kayak tours and snorkeling trips around Santa Cruz Island in Channel Islands National Park. Paddling through arches, hidden passages and caverns is the main draw, and guides point out island foxes, sea lions, garibaldi and giant kelp forests along the way. The company is an authorized concessioner in the park and also leads outdoor education trips for school groups.

Tours suit beginners as well as more experienced paddlers, and guides give basic kayaking instruction before heading out. Each tour includes ocean kayaks, paddle jackets, helmets and wetsuits. Trips start from Scorpion Anchorage on the eastern side of the island, and guests can extend a visit with an overnight stay at the nearby Scorpion Campground. Tours can be booked online, and gift certificates that never expire are sold on the site. The office is on East Haley Street in Santa Barbara.
