Bundy Opticians

Bundy Opticians is a family-owned optician shop in San Mateo that has been selling eyeglasses since 1958. The shop carries a wide range of Japanese and European frames, many of them handmade, along with designer brands and frames for children and for sports or workplace safety. Lenses come from makers such as Essilor, Zeiss and Shamir, and polarized prescription sunwear is a specialty.

Owner Jose Monge is a registered dispensing optician licensed by the California State Board of Optometry. He and his staff edge and mount lenses in the in-office lab, and many customers have come back for years, bringing their children in later. Spanish is spoken. The shop is at 201 South San Mateo Drive and serves San Mateo and the Peninsula.
