Mama Kat's Restaurant & Pie Shop

Mama Kat's Restaurant & Pie Shop is a family-run restaurant known for its pies, fresh baked pastries and specialty coffee from a barista bar, alongside meals served in a fun, relaxed dining room. The name honors the founder's mother, and the restaurant's hobo cat symbol, which signals a warm welcome, appears on its menus and signage.

Michael, Kristen and their four daughters run the restaurant day to day. A boutique and a succulent garden give guests a place to shop, meet, browse work from local artists and vendors, or sit quietly on a lunch break. Mama Kat's is preparing to move to a new building in San Marcos in summer 2026, and the new dining room is under construction now.
