Monarch Bay Golf Club

Monarch Bay Golf Club runs two public golf courses on the San Francisco Bay shore at the San Leandro Marina: the 18-hole Tony Lema course, a Scottish links-style layout of 6,567 yards with views of the bay on every hole, and the Marina 9-hole course, a parkland layout designed by John Harbottle. The club also has a lighted, two-tier driving range with natural grass landing areas.

Tee times can be booked up to 30 days ahead on the website with no extra booking fee. The Landing at Monarch Bay, a casual restaurant and bar next to the course, serves burgers, fish tacos and craft beer, and its patio overlooks the first and tenth tees. The club also hosts charity scrambles, corporate outings and social events, with 18 or 9-hole options. The driving range stays open daily until 9:00 p.m.
