Movette Film Transfer

Movette Film Transfer scans archival motion picture film, working in 8mm, Super-8, 9.5mm, 16mm, 17.5mm, 28mm and 35mm formats. The company calls itself San Francisco's only business devoted exclusively to film scanning, and it was formerly known as Video Transfer Center before taking its current name.

Visits are by appointment only, and scheduled visits run Tuesday through Saturday with a midday break. The studio is on Valencia Street in the Mission District, a short walk from the 24th Street Mission BART station and several Muni lines. Buck Bito is the president and sole owner.
