Acute Collective

Acute Collective is a hair salon led by owner and stylist Linda Thomas, who founded the studio in 2012 after nearly two decades of international work. The salon is known for blonde highlights, balayage, natural gray blending and color correction, and it uses KEVIN.MURPHY products with vegan, ammonia-free and PPD-free color options. Cuts range from sleek precision styles to soft layers, and styling is available for events and nights out.

Services are booked by the hour rather than by individual service, so one appointment can cover color, toner, treatments and a haircut, with the rate quoted up front. Tipping is included in the price. Earlier and later appointments can be requested. The salon is on the third floor of a building in Downtown San Francisco, a couple of blocks from Powell BART and a short walk from Union Square, with metered and garage parking nearby.
