Walter Redondo Fine Art Collection

The Walter Redondo Fine Art Collection shows and sells abstract paintings by Walter Redondo, a San Diego painter who began exhibiting on the local art scene in 1998. His large canvases feature expressive brushwork, layered textures and fluid gestures, shaped by post-war abstract painters such as Robert Motherwell and Joan Mitchell. Before turning to painting full time, Redondo was ranked the top junior tennis player in the United States and later competed at Wimbledon.

The gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday afternoons, and Mondays are by appointment only. Redondo still paints daily in his San Diego studio, and his work is held in private collections around the world. A documentary about his life, Love All, is set to premiere on Hulu.
