Volare

Volare is a family-run Italian restaurant serving home-style favorites like lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, fettuccine alfredo, ravioli, seafood pastas and meatballs, along with excellent pizzas. The kitchen is known for its Giant 28-inch take-out pizza, and lunch and dinner specials rotate through the week, including dishes like pork tenderloin Milanese and cioppino.

The Sanfilippo family took over the restaurant from the original owners, and the menu is kept reasonably priced. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, and the restaurant welcomes groups, families and couples. Takeout is available by phone, and the restaurant also handles catering requests. The restaurant is on Barnett Avenue in San Diego's 92110 area.
