The Studio Door is a contemporary art gallery and working-studio hub that runs a year-round exhibition program. It is known for recurring shows such as The Crow Show and PROUD+, an annual national LGBTQ art exhibition, along with spotlight presentations and community projects. The gallery also houses 17 on-site artist studios, so visitors can see art in the middle of being made.
The gallery is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 11 AM to 6 PM, and also by appointment. Receptions are usually held on Saturday evenings from 6 to 9 PM. It is located in San Diego's Hillcrest neighborhood, and the owner, Patric Stillman, is a common point of contact for visitors and partners. Patric and the team also host private events and offer art-centered experiences for businesses and organizations.
