San Diego Sports Medicine & Family Health Center provides family medicine, sports medicine and walk-in urgent care. Its urgent care physicians are double board-certified in family or emergency medicine and sports medicine, and the practice cares for athletes and teams including SDSU Athletics, the University of San Diego and the San Diego Gulls. Services include joint injections, onsite X-rays, lab tests, wound care, fracture management and shockwave therapy, along with physical therapy and Pilates.

Urgent care walk-ins are seen at the Pacific Beach office, and the practice also offers ongoing primary care for chronic conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. Spanish is spoken. The practice has operated since 1985 and has several county locations, including Sorrento Valley, Alvarado and Pacific Beach. It does not take new patients seeking narcotic pain medication for chronic problems, so pain plans may involve alternative therapies or specialist referrals.
