Old Venice Restaurant has served Italian-American dinners on Cañon Street in San Diego for over 45 years, and it is still family owned and operated. The menu ranges from garlic bulb and brie and stuffed shrimp to pastas, seafood risotto, chicken piccata, and a long list of pizzas, including build-your-own options. The old world bar pours a classic cocktail list with a modern twist.

Walk-ins are welcome, and reservations are taken for parties up to 12 with a 15-minute grace period. Larger groups and private events go through the catering and events page, and the space can host up to 100 guests. Two heated garden patios and a candlelit dining room give the place a romantic feel, and only service animals are allowed. Happy hour runs daily in the bar from 4 to 6 pm, and gift cards can be bought online.
