Fairmont Grand Del Mar

The Grand Golf Club is the 18-hole championship course at Fairmont Grand Del Mar, a Tom Fazio design on 380 acres bordering Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve. The par-72 course plays 7,160 yards, and the practice side includes a 50,000-square-foot driving range, two short game greens and a separate putting green. A forecaddie program provides course strategy, yardage and help finding errant shots.

Tee times can be requested online, and twilight rates apply after 2:30 pm standard time. Green fees are $420 Monday through Thursday and $480 Friday through Sunday, and the club rents TaylorMade clubs for those who prefer not to travel with their own. Children 12 and under play free when accompanied by an adult, and youths 13 to 17 pay half price. Golf clinics run on Fridays and Saturdays, and the PGA professionals also plan corporate and charity outings. The course is in San Diego.
