Mean Mug Coffee Company

Mean Mug Coffee Company grows, roasts and sells its own coffee, sourced from its farm in Guatemala and roasted in Salisbury. The shop offers a wide range of flavored syrups, with more than 40 flavors, including sugar-free options and syrups made without high fructose corn syrup. The company also distributes coffee and supplies such as flavored powders and pre-printed cups to other businesses.

The Innes Street location in Salisbury has a drive-thru as well as indoor and outdoor seating. The downtown Main Street shop at 110 N. Main also serves food and has indoor seating. Mean Mug has a second Salisbury shop and locations at Carolina Place Mall in Pineville and in the Charlotte area. The company is part of the S.O.A.R. program, a community college program for adults with intellectual disabilities, and the owner, Evelyn Medina, started the business with her husband Rigo.
