The Book Bin

Its rare book room specializes in collectible fantasy, horror and science fiction, alongside other unusual finds. The shop is a family-owned business that marked its 40th anniversary in 2023.

The Book Bin buys used books every day by appointment, and buying counter appointments run daily from 10 AM to 5 PM. Sellers should say roughly how many boxes or bags they have so the staff can plan the time. The shop also buys records at the Salem store, with drop-offs by appointment and offers ready the next day. The store is downtown at 450 Court St. NE, with a loading alley beside it for quick loading and unloading. Rose, the resident store cat, lives on site.
