South Metro Animal Emergency Care

South Metro Animal Emergency Care is an animal hospital that treats sick and injured pets around the clock, every day of the year. Its services include emergency care and end-of-life care for pets. The hospital has an in-house laboratory, a treatment area and an intensive care ward, and it has operated in Apple Valley since 1997.

No appointment is needed for emergencies, and pets are seen as walk-ins during emergency hours. Calling ahead helps the team prepare for arrival, especially for severe or time-sensitive cases. On arrival, pets go through a triage assessment similar to a human emergency room, and stable animals may wait while more critical cases are seen. The hospital works closely with regular veterinarians, sharing records and test results so care stays coordinated. The hospital is at 14690 Pennock Avenue in Apple Valley.
