Astound Video

Astound Video transfers old home movies, videotapes, film, slides, photos and audio recordings to digital formats, and copies CDs and DVDs. The company has been in business since 2004 and started as an apartment-based operation before opening retail stores. Its Apple Valley location opened in 2013 and handles videotape, 8mm and 16mm film, slide and photo scanning, audio transfers and cell phone transfers, along with disc copies made while you wait.

The Apple Valley store sits on Glenda Drive just north of Highway 42, with its building on Cedar Avenue near 147th Street. Hours are weekday business hours and the store is closed on weekends, though Saturday service is offered at the Roseville store. No appointment is needed, and the location has one of the company's viewing rooms. The company also serves nearby communities including Burnsville, Eagan, Lakeville, Rosemount and Farmington.
