Gilbert's Pro Hardware Store

Gilbert's Pro Hardware Store has been serving St. Clair Shores since 1949, and the website describes it as a hardware store where DIY fix-it advice is a big part of the job. Owner Blair Gilbert, known as Mr. Hardware, comes from a third-generation hardware, building and carpentry family, and the staff are there to help with projects around the home and yard.

Customers are greeted as soon as they walk in, and a team member helps find what they need, so quick trips are the norm. The store is on Harper Avenue between 8 and 9 Mile roads, and it offers complimentary coffee for anyone who wants to sit and talk through a project.
