The Kookaburra

The Kookaburra is a coffee roaster and café with several locations, known for single origin, direct trade coffee and Aussie-style drinks. Espresso drinks include the Honey Badger Latte, Aussie Iced Coffee and flat whites, and the kitchen bakes its pies and pastries from scratch each day, including meat pies, breakfast pies and lunch pies like Thai Chicken Chili, along with Anzac cookies and lamingtons.

The café also sells its roasted coffee online, with roasting to order and shipping Monday through Friday. Pies and baked goods are offered with some gluten-free and vegan options, though shared kitchen space means cross contamination is possible. The downtown St. Augustine shop at 18 Cathedral Place is open daily, and the company lists several other shop locations on its site.
