SVRC Marketplace is a community marketplace in a historic Saginaw News building along the Saginaw River, home to a mix of local merchants selling artisanal crafts, locally sourced food and a range of goods tied to the region's heritage. Vietnamese sandwiches, yarn shops and seasonal makers' markets are among the offerings featured on its site. The marketplace is run by SVRC Industries, which was established in 1962 to create meaningful work for people with disabilities.
The building is at 203 South Washington Avenue in downtown Saginaw, with an accessible entrance on Washington Avenue and another on the Waters Street side. The marketplace also hosts seasonal events such as a Halloween market, a makers market and a holiday shop, and it rents its spaces for events. Concourse hours are listed as Wednesday through Saturday, 11 AM to 7 PM.
