Saginaw County Mosquito

Saginaw County Mosquito Abatement Commission, known as SCMAC, runs the county's public mosquito control program. Its work includes larval and adult mosquito treatment, surveillance through a trap network, source reduction and a tire collection program. Treatment is planned each evening from resident calls, trap counts, disease activity and weather, and the program also handles priority treatments for events and a medical certification program for residents with severe mosquito allergies.

Residents can report mosquito activity or standing water by phone or through the mobile app or online forms, and the office takes calls on weekdays during business hours in control season, May through September. Priority requests for specific event dates are limited and not guaranteed, so calling well in advance helps. The office is at 705 N Towerline in Saginaw.
