DIY Wood Sign Workshop

Board & Brush hosts paint-and-sip workshops where guests make their own wood sign. Instructors walk each group through sanding, distressing, staining, painting a stencil and waxing, and guests pick their colors on the night. Participants choose from a gallery of hundreds of designs, and no prior experience is needed. Workshops usually run about three hours.

Guests bring their own drinks, since the Saginaw studio is BYOB, and should plan to arrive early because sessions start on time. Groups book private parties, corporate outings, bridal events and kids' parties, and the studio sells premade signs and DIY at-home kits through its online shop for anyone who cannot make it in. The studio sits in Block's Plaza at the corner of Center and Gratiot roads, with parking on all sides of the building.
