Yildiz Rugs

Yildiz Rugs sells hand-knotted area rugs, with a catalog built around Afghan and Turkish styles such as Oushak, Gabbeh, Bidjar, Mamluk and Baluch. Its listed pieces run from runners to rugs of 10x14 feet, in tribal, traditional, transitional and modern looks. The rugs are made by artisan weavers in northern Afghanistan who come from the Turkmen community of the region.

The company offers a 30-day return policy on all rugs, and its website says orders usually arrive within five to seven business days. Rug pads are also sold. Visits to the Pell Drive office in Sacramento are by appointment only on weekdays, and the phone line is available for questions.
