Little Summit Center

Little Summit Center is a school for young children that builds its days around play, hands-on activities and structured literacy. The curriculum covers practical life, sensory work, language, math, science and art, with circle time and reading time each day. Activities follow each child's interest and pace, and the program also teaches children to care for the planet, building green habits around Earth Day every day.

Families can enroll through open enrollment, and the center accepts subsidy payments, so it is worth asking about help with tuition. The school describes its approach as a partnership with parents, aimed at supporting each child's confidence, respect and independence. Weekday hours cover a full working day, and the center is on Beaumont Street in Sacramento.
